Title: Rumour has it, that the Abu 7000i's gone.
Post by: Ken_D on July 31, 2014, 07:07:48 PM
Heard a rumour from a distributor that the Ambassadeur 7000i series of reels, have been discontinued. Evidently, in another related rumour, all will be revealed at some sort of show or other. That usually means a large trading area, such as the Eastern Seaboard, or the Golden State.. Has anyone heard any more on these. Thx, kd.

Some new models were revealed at Icast a couple weeks ago.  Modernized version to compete with Omoto/Akios/clone/another clone/blah blah blah.  I think even a 700 Blue Younder. All alledgedly produced in Sweden....

Rodger that... the nitwits at our Redl Industries are on interesting meds, I guess... all they would have had to say to the store was: revisions on the way, present models on the way out, instead of a terse no explanation discontinue.  Thanks for the skinny.  KD

I know Redl's of old -back from when I was in the tackle biz-they aren't the sharpest corn chips in the bag.
