Title: Calcutta 700 Drive Shaft
Post by: Fishnmike on August 04, 2014, 08:16:24 PM
I have four of the "old" Calcutta 700's with the push button casting knob (CT 700) that I use for sturgeon and shark fishing. The other day I had the threads on the end of the driveshaft (BNT 1747)on which the handle nut threads onto strip out.

So I went the handy internet looking for a replacement. Finally found one a Tuna Reel Troubles and bought it. Andy there reports it was the last one known to be in existance as the later model 700's use a shorter drive shaft. Doing more searching it appears Andy is probably correct as I couldn't locate anymore. So for you guys who like to tinker, there maybe a market for you.
