Title: baitrunner question
Post by: delzea on August 17, 2014, 11:21:01 AM
on a fishing outing earlier this summer my baitrunner reel took a quick dunk.after that i had problem with the baitrunner not tripping when turning the handle.

i took it apart cleaned, figure out the problem and it's been working fine.

however i've noticed a slight vibration, roughness while reeling.it reels fine and i don't notice any resistance at all.
it's kinda like a rub,no rub,rub,no rub feeling.

i've taken it apart a couple times and cleaned it and examined it trying to find the problem.the last time i had it apart i noticed the bearing on the pinion gear didn't seem as smooth as it should be and i felt a little grit on my fingers while spinning it(which could've already been on my fingers)

it was very very slite,it just wasn't quite as smooth as the other bearings, and didn't seem at all enough to cause what i'm feeling
but i did order a new bearing.

do you think this could be a bearing problem or is it something else
