Hello there new member here, but have been looking at this site for years, can't say how helpful you all have been!!..anyway..Never had this problem and need help..re assembling stradic 8000fj after just a simple bearing replacement and once together I can feel all the teeth on the gears when reeling..done many of these reels n never had this issue..could be something to do w the small spacers under the main gear bearings?? I dunno please help!! Thanks much
If you used the correct size bearings and the same shim or shims under the bearing on the main gear everything should be just fine. Did it have any shims on the other side of the main gear? That would be the right side of the reel.
