Title: Shimano Stradic 4000FG line roller bearing
Post by: nygirl on September 02, 2014, 11:57:57 PM
Hi Alan,

If you remember... the Stradic 4000 is making noise only when under tension, ie. retrieving lures or fighting fish.
Found out it's the line roller bearing that's making the grindy noise. Soaked the bushing/bearing/spacer assembly in oil for a couple days, cleaned as best I could, still cannot take them apart. Now I'm waiting for the busing, bearing and spacer to come in the mail (located them and ordered online).
Is there a trick to how to take the bushing out?
Could anybody point me to the right direction?

serviced a similiar stradic CI4 showing the exact same problem.

Since i can not remove the bearing, i told my friend to bring it to shimano.

Good for you that you were able to remove them from the bail.

The one that i looked at is totally stuck.
