Post by: Oahutaco on September 09, 2014, 06:26:18 AM
I saw that someone was selling a S550-4.6 with penn international gearing in it. Is this possible?

HAHAHA!! I figured they didn't. I was surprised when I saw his ad and was like I need to see this. Just got through talking with the guy and had to explain the difference between a newell, penn senator and penn international reel.

so, let's just give him the benefit of the doubt.  he knows that penn international gears are made of stainless steel.  he knows that penn senator gears are bronze.  he figures that newells are more like senators, but he finds one that has stainless steel gears.  hey, they must be international gears!  either way, don't be to hard on the guy.   ;D

I actually Just gave him a better understanding of the reels and it's parts. He appreciated it.
