Title: A LITTLE REEL HELP
Post by: HOLEINTHEWATER on October 06, 2014, 12:10:54 AM
GOT THESE THREE SPINNING REELS FROM A FRIEND. QUNTUM SR6 , MASTER 706 AND SILSTAR CT80. I NEED TO SET UP A COUPLE MORE CAT FISHING RIGS. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO CAST THESE , WITH HEAVY WEIGHTS AND BAIT.  ARE THEY ANY GOOD, AND FOR NOW WHAT TWO WOULD YOU RECOMMEND.

honestly, i'd get a set of $20 daiwa sweepfire or surefire spinning reels.  alternatively, okuma also makes a $20 spinner.  this really is the best way to go.

Good move --

When you get the Penns -- Check them out and see if they need anything besides service and good drags.

If there is anything you need, let us know, we might be able to help.

Best,

Fred
