Is there an easy way of removing the pinion bearing for replacement? I very nearly trashed my side plate removing mine -luckily a bit of cleaning up with the Dremel sorted things out .
I use a box nail with half the head cut off in vice grips as a bearing puller. Sometimes have to hit it with some reel-x to get them out.
it's tough when they are installed dry like that. :-\

Thanks Mark ,i'll try that next time.
Hot water works great, The aluminium expands much faster than the bearing and does not warp as 212 degrees is the maximum (usually the bearing comes out long before the side plate gets that warm. I have a Penn 30W left side bearing that only comes out when it's warm ;)
