Title: Older MXL Drive Shaft Bearings
Post by: Stan on November 13, 2014, 12:57:11 PM
Does anybody have the dimensions for the drive shaft bearings for older MXL-4.5 and MXL-6.3?

OK..So I measured and got 5/16 x 1/2 x 5/32    Can't seem to find that size anywhere in an abec 5, and I'm a bit leary of going to AVET unless I have to....

Thoughts anyone?

I'm not sure where your located but I have bought bearings for reels , both metric and standard, from these guys. http://alpinebearing.com/

Their a supplier and noramally do larger orders but I live close to one of their locations and they have served me well even if I only buy a couple bearings at a time.

I didn't check the site for the bearings your looking for but have bought Avet sized bearings from them in the past.

Alot of people like Boca Bearings and they know fishing reels pretty well, but for me it is only a couple of miles to the Alpine location.

joey says 0.375 x 0.625 x 0.1562 for the drive shaft and 0.250 x 0.625 x 0.196 for the right main side plate.
