Post by: ru-d on November 21, 2014, 05:23:14 AM
Hi,

I've been looking for Yamaha Grease but dont seem to be easily available here. But i do have Maxima Waterproof Grease lying around that i used for bikes. Is it okay to use on reels?

Thanks,

I'd use it but not in bearings sounds like it would be too stiff for that.

the concern is that it might absorb water and stiffen over time.  if there is a marine/boat supply store somewhere, they should carry something that would work.  and welcome!!!!
