Title: Shimano ax 4000 fd
Post by: ppvj64 on December 01, 2014, 12:26:13 AM
Bought this reel on sale a while back for using sabiki rigs. I believe Ive had it for 3 years and by far a great reel for its purpose but recently I noticed the main bushings are wearing out, giving me some handle play, so I was wondering if anybody knows what bearings I could replace the bushings with.  Its only a 22 dollar reel but its a good one and I just cant toss it in the trash but I dont want to spend 22 dollars on bearings either. Any help will be greatly appreciated And THANKS ALOT

for single parts, call shimano at 877-577-0600.  they will often send things out for free.  they are great in that respect!

Shimano is great  but I wanted to change from bushings to bearings. shimano bushings lasted a long time thou and there still useable but thru many many casts and 5 pacific macrel hook up on the sabiki rig plus I barely ever really cleaned it. To tell the truth that reel outlasted many other reels that cost more and no I dont work for shimano
