the thumb bar on my lexa 300 will not return up when I start reeling and the reel is in free spool only when I manually push up the bar then the reel will engage in gear, any help will be appreciated

I've had that problem. There's probably gunk built up in the area that it slides in. It's an area I always clean and lube.
