Title: DAIWA SEALINE SG-3B SG47LC3B is sticky when reeling

Hi Alan,

How are you doing?  I hope things are good.  I bought my son a Daiwa Sealine Line Counter and Tiger Stick for Xmas last year.  He as only used it a dozen times.  We were just down at San G yesterday and he could barely reel the line up since about every other turn of it would get really sticky.  Then it would break free for a couple turns then do it again.  I loosened the drag and free spool drag and it did the same.

I was looking online for some schematics or bearings, but couldn't find anything.  Do you have any suggestions.  I actually have few reels I would like to bring by for you to service, if you are still doing that.

Thanks for the help.

Regards,

John Martin

john, great to hear from you!  i'm home sunday if you want to swing by.  one thing you might want to try for now is to pop the left side plate and look for fishing line stuck inside.  check for line stuck under the star as well.  kids have a way of doing things like that.
