My boat is being overhauled re-power some new pumps deck paint,And spit shine.it's been down since July! can't wait till March when it will be finished I will post some pictures when I get it done.
Get it ready for mango season buddy.
Jamie, that pic says "all I want to do is fish" ;D
DwDwight can't wait! I believe the record mango was caught this past year right in my fishing grounds,in 130 ft on natural bottom.I have this 501 reel ready for my light jigging set up.this 99 size 505 with a jig master fiberglass rod will be my mango Rod and reel. Mangoooooooo
Those will be nice mango reels especially up in the water flat lining. My Newell 540 3.2 will always be my go to bottom reel for mangos. Wish we had time to go out to deeper water but we are stuck in the 80 ft range. I have 17-8 mango mounted on the wall that is larger than the current registered record. Caught while fishing on the old Sea Love about 18 years ago. Biggest since then has been 14-8.
Looks like you are ready Jamie! ;D
Dwight, lets see that mango! ;)

Dwight,
Now thats why they call you...
'The Mango Man'
Caught it flat lining with a Shimano TLD 15 on a no name custom rod and 30 lb mono, 5/0 hook and a squid head. Squid heads are hard to beat when flat lining for mangos. Lee Lingo was the captain and Bryan Pinkley gaffed it.
Weighed on certified scales at King's Seafood. 17-8
I still have the rod and reel but they don't fish anymore.

Jamie, I know there is are bigger ones out there and if had the funds I would have my own boat out there all summer chasing a bigger one.
You will have to get on the boat with me this summer.what water temp do the mangos seem to like?
I don't know the temps but first week of June to Aug 15 this past summer they were up in the water. Just takes a little chum to get them fired up. Toward the end of Feb the bottom bite should start to pick up.
