Those will be nice mango reels especially up in the water flat lining. My Newell 540 3.2 will always be my go to bottom reel for mangos. Wish we had time to go out to deeper water but we are stuck in the 80 ft range. I have 17-8 mango mounted on the wall that is larger than the current registered record. Caught while fishing on the old Sea Love about 18 years ago. Biggest since then has been 14-8.

Caught it flat lining with a Shimano TLD 15 on a no name custom rod and 30 lb mono, 5/0 hook and a squid head. Squid heads are hard to beat when flat lining for mangos. Lee Lingo was the captain and Bryan Pinkley gaffed it.
Weighed on certified scales at King's Seafood. 17-8
I still have the rod and reel but they don't fish anymore.

I don't know the temps but first week of June to Aug 15 this past summer they were up in the water. Just takes a little chum to get them fired up. Toward the end of Feb the bottom bite should start to pick up.
