Title: Shimano chronarch 50 mg anti reverse
Post by: LOZ on January 18, 2015, 10:56:44 PM
I serviced 6 chronarch 50 mg reels and had one out using today and the anti reverse bearing is slipping after cleaning. I put some TSI321 on q-tip and rolled on bearing. Not sure if I got to much oil mixed with cold weather use? Suggestions? Thanks

Most people don't recommend putting oil on the AR Bearing, most say a very light coat of grease.

Best not to put any lube on AR bearing. I would try to clean everything off as best as possible.

Clean with a solvent of your choice (make sure it is plastic safe - ie not acetone). When dry apply a drop or 2 of Reelx or CorrosionX, not so much for lubrication more for anti-corrosion ;)
