Quite the collection!  I'd like to get some of the older SS spinners as well...or a BG's...hard to choose, great problems to have though!

Thank you Alan I appreciate that my 700 is rough paint wise but it is very functional. I will eventually repaint it and put some carbon fiber drags in it. But it works well as is.

You are the last person I would think of to ask. Maybe you have so many because you don't like spinners.  ;) ;D

I got the sickness too.I still keep buying penn's I have dozens & usually end up fishing with my old ones that have been repaired improved.
Those are the "lucky ones" I think about all of the fish I caught on them over the years.

Hey txangler81,

I see you are in WF.  That's home for me.  I was just there last Saturday.  My kids still live there.  Is there any place to fish these days?  Rumor is Arrowhead is nearly dry!  I used to fish at Arrowhead, and Kickapoo from time to time.

Arrowhead is still fishable all the boat ramps are out of water but people are still managing to get boats in the water. The south end of the lake is pretty much a cow pasture. I haven't heard anything about Kickapoo. Lake Wichita is now listed as a dead lake of coarse it wasn't very deep to begin with.

I used to ski in Lake Wichita when I did not feel like driving to Arrowhead.  I never found a spot in it that was more than waist deep.  The mud in the bottom was so soft you would sink in it up to your shins if you stood too long.

I fished Lake Diversion a few times when it first opened, but the snakes were so thick I could never concentrate on fishing.  Right after they flooded it, the snakes would try to get in the boat with you.

You a bass angler?

I've never been to Lake Diversion. Only bass fishing that I have ever done has been in stock tanks I mainly fish for catfish, crappie, and sandbass. I always heard a person could walk across Lake Wichita. Between two golden algae blooms this drought almost drying it up all the fish have pretty much died. I'm sure there are some catfish down in the mud that will survive once we finally do get some decent rain.

I used to see some huge carp come out of that lake.  HUGE.  You are right about walking across.  The last time I was on the lake was the late 70s.  You could walk across then.  I doubt it has gotten any better.
