Well I am now, or at least I will be when the east coast thaws out!!!! I remove the sheilds from the spool bearings, cleaned them out and applied TSI 301.  I think it will throw 8 N Bait just fine from the surf.  The 7000 Blue Yonder will be a good addition to the arsenal for Red Drum from the surf.

That is a nice reel. I recently started using Abu and really like them.
That handle knob has to go, it is way too close for comfort, unless you use the tip of your fingers.
It could use a good 1/4" on the shaft. Some things just don't make any sense ::).
Still, a very nice reel.
