Don't know if this is in the right place or not but, yesterday I ordered some parts from Scott's (some not easy to come by) at about 2:30 p.m. I had a confirmation that they were indeed shipped at 3:30p.m. and they arrived at my door at 3:00 today. This was just standard postage, nothing special. This is the kind of service you don't see anymore and kudos to them for a terrific job. They have a customer for life. Just wanted to give them a shout out for their fine fast service.....bob v
Most of us on this site know they are terrific. Dominick

I second that. I order alot of parts from them frequently, and they always arrive within 3 buisness days in Hawaii. I have yet to have an incorrect/incomplete order. Also, they do a good job of updating their parts info based on availability, compatability, customer feedback, etc.
On the other hand ordering directly from Penn has often times resulted in errors, and unless you talk to the right guy (my contact is Tony Dubec), or do your research ahead of time, parts compatability/availability issues can arrise. Shipment has been prompt, and parts always arrive in HI within 5 buisnes days.
I also run into incorrect orders (wrong and/or missing parts), and parts availability isdues when ordering from Shimano. Shipments also take longer. However, they always are good at correcting any mistakes w/o issue.
I placed an order late Friday Night. I had it by Monday. Always great service and always right! ;D
Just to bump this a little bit.
I placed two orders this month from Scott's, over $200 each. After I placed the second one. I noticed some 99 springs were missing from the first order. I emailed them. Moe promptly got back to me and said she would send them and asked if I needed anything else.
I said I needed two 9/0 jack springs that I had forgotten on the first order. She threw them in for free!
Top notch Service from a top notch company! Thank You Maureen! You Rock! ;D
Careful what you say, Moe is watching.... ;D
It takes 4 days to get here but I'm in the sticks. Scott's is #1, thank you for providing us with the things we need, want and must have.
They are indeed a reminder of the good old days, when first-rate customer service was the rule rather than the (rare) exception. Bravo to Scott's! (http://www.city-data.com/forum/pictures/t/61/59b86743ff6b62a108cb0d41fdbaff03_61295.gif)

They are the best and the only place to shop for parts and lubes.
That where I buy my parts from.
I agree. Scott's is a first class outfit and I have always had excellent service from them every time.
Yes, Scott's is the best and Mo is a sweetheart.
Sal
Scotts is the best! It's a pleasure doing business with them! ;D
Indeed! ;D

Will chip in here as well, absolutely first class service. Even though our dollar has slipped against the $US in recent months, I would still order Penn parts from Scott's every time.
Australian tackle distributors should really lift their game. They are appalling when compared to Scott's.
Another case in point: Last weekend I ordered some parts from Scott's. USPS routed the package improperly; three days ago it disappeared into an NYC Post Office and has not been heard from since. This morning I emailed Scott's asking if maybe a replacement shipment was in order. Twenty minutes later, the shipping label had been created. Unbeatable service.
love Scott's. Penn used to be great, and had a gentleman there (phil, maybe?) that knew everything there was to know about model chronolgy, parts, etc. he'd been there about forty years but retired a few years back. IMHO, the whole thing went to hell when Penn went to Henry's then to Pure Fishing.....parts seemed double in price wth high shipping overnight, with reduced availability and support (how can you not support the millions of SS Spinfishers out there?) and the Chinese crap looks like planned obselsclence. I guess some whiz kid Bob (watch office space, equals "efficiency consultant" decided they could make more money getting us to buy throwaways that servicing real reels....most of us Senators, etc. over fifty years old still in use on a design from 1935....
sorry about the soapbox.....this is a real p$$r for me...not to mention the Penn factory workers in PA
I know someone that said the same thing, and actually like the new direction of Penn.
Now i think i recall the guy's name was Mike Quick; super nice dude. may this be the same guy i see you refer to as in "Mike's book"? if so i gotta get one
They take 2 weeks to get to me , but that`s fine because they get my order spot on every time. Very efficient, courteous, and helpful business.
Been dealing with Scott's for quite awhile now. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about them from top to bottom. Always an enjoyment even on the rare occasion that something was wrong. Hard to find this kind of people anymore. Had the pleasure of meeting Scott's dad (Ryan, I think) last year. Just confirmed more what I already knew about this family. Will always consider them as friends instead of people just wanting my business.
Just received a big box of 975 Inter'ls- both star and LD from some Lower Columbia guide (read saltwater) buddies. Hey, Springers are here and moving up river, time to get those reels up to snuff that have been sitting in the boat all winter ???. Thank goodness for Mo and the gang and Scotts, their service and shipping can't be beat !

Don't you love things like this, and it's worse when they "need them back right away".
Fairly new to the site and would like to know the contact information for Scott's

I had to laugh when I saw the location of Scott's. I live about 30miles north of them in NJ. What makes it worse, when I was working in civil engineering Little egg was one of our clients and as many times as I was there I really never took notice to there business. Go figure.
I only seen penn parts on Scott's site, does he sell parts for other makes as well?

When I asked them a couple of months ago, the answer was "no."
i confirm, scotts is the best, fast service, i called about a problem i was having and scott took the time to walk me thru the problem, fantastic people. harryk
Scott and Moe are the best, except when they are too busy running around Manhattan with Alan and Joy. :D ;D :D ;D Dominick
I have been buying from them for years. I now get Cal's, TSI, and many other things from them. Some people ask me if I have been there b/c I wear their T-Shirts all the time and I live in Florida.
It's also great when you have a question they don't hesitate to help you..!!
Sheesh...you sneak out for ONE day and somebody razzes you for it. (Hi Dominick! :) )
Thanks all...we do try hard and work to fix it if we do goof up.
you've always been on point with my orders, going back years and years!!!!
John
I've also placed multiple orders from Scott's, and have corresponded with Mo via email. She was quite helpful and even sent me a photo I requested when I was having trouble figuring out how a trip lever and cam lever where supposed to line up with one another. First class organization all the way.
