Title: Old Daiwa Saltist 40 drag stack

i took a part an old Saltist 40 that I have not used in a while. The "eared" spacers in the drag stack were installed with the bend upward. Looking at some of the tutorials it appears they are inserted with the ear bend downward. Can some one tell me if there is a correct orientation for the eared drag spacers or does it not matter.

Thank you, need to take it apart and put them in correct orientation.
