Title: GEARS
Post by: garking84 on February 17, 2015, 04:26:34 PM
I'm wondering if anyone on here would happen to know why these gears are different.   They are squidder  surfmaster etc. gears i believe 5-60 correct me if I'm wrong.  one looks normal to me but the other one has openings on the side where the washers go in.
Ok it didn't let me post pictures. I'll try in a bit

Without a photo I would guess pierce through when cutting the ID.

Pictures.  I don't know if someone cut through them or if that's how they are.  The back of the gear is also different.

That's normal, I have a few 5-155 that look the same, only on my 5-155 though.

I think they did that because of the height of the gear assembly within the sideplate to allow more room for the wavy spring washer without hitting the sideplate.

Thanks for clearing things up. I thought I had a set of bad gears.
