Title: glued washers
Post by: wallacewt on November 30, 2010, 11:33:28 AM
id like some thoughts on glued washers as opposed to loose layed ones.lots of reels have a large single washer, round, eared etc to my way of thinking they would be better glued then greased.new not 2nd hand,ht-100,carbonex of course.glue would seal them to the spool, grease on top and edges keeps water out, water cant get underneath, can it?? am i right, wrong, make no diff;fire away!merry xmas to all

Gluing would make them harder to service if ever they need replacing. Aren't all the newer Avet washers glued to the spool?

just  maybe you wouldnt have to service them after the 1st service! even so,just a couple of drops of acetone
