Title: How To CREATE and UPLOAD PDF FILES For THREADS . . .
Post by: ez2cdave on March 25, 2015, 09:10:39 PM
It can be very useful and helpful to create and upload PDF files to the forum. Not only does it make it possible to easily DOWNLOAD the thread, it also PRESERVES IMAGES that might be otherwise lost as websites are changed, etc.

Here is how to do it yourself:

(1) Select whatever text you wish to keep.

(2) Highlight it and Copy it.

(3) Paste the copied text into Word

(4) Save it as a PDF file, instead of a DOC or DOCX file.

(5) UPLOAD the PDF file to the Forum ... PRESTO !!!

I have attached an example below . . . A thread by JerseyMic

How to ATTACH / UPLOAD files in Messages . . .

OK . . . Here we go !

Whenever you make a post to the Forum, you will see an item at the LOWER LEFT, labelled "Additional Options".

When you click on it, the following information appears:

- Additional Options...

[ ] Notify me of replies.
[ ] Return to this topic.
[ ] Don't use smileys.

Attach: [Browse] No file selected.   (more attachments)
Allowed file types: doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip
Maximum attachment size allowed: 9000000 KB, per post: 4

Click on "Browse" and it will allow you to select a file from your computer to ATTACH to your message. If you want multiple attachments ( up to 4 per post ), click on "More Attachments" for each one you want to do.

When you are finished, POST the message . . . PRESTO !!!
