I was looking for some green plates and couldn't find them anywhere, Randy (Vintage Offshore Tackle), was helpful sending me a set that he had, thanks again Randy.
The reel guts are from Black Pearl ( ProChallenger), the gears are 4:1 ratio, both pinion and main gears are heat treated...very durable. The custom stainless steel spacer bars are also from him.
The counterbalanced handle is from Adam (Three se7ens), with very little help from me on the design.
Very nice job on the handle Adam, exactly what I was looking for.
The drag kit is the 5 washers kit from Bryan.
The cupped Delrin washer on top and a Delrin washer for under the gear are from McMasterCarr and so are the stainless steel screws.
Here are some photos:

Everything went in the Lee-Pro plates nicely

except for Black Pearl's spacer, the hole on the plate is not centered with the gear sleeve, so I had to use the stock spacer. Not a big deal, these gears are plenty strong and I'm not worried about them

And here is the reel all assembled and working flawlessly

Dwight I take it you realized where this reel will go...no pressure buddy ;) ;D
Sal
Christmas-y...and very Italian at the same time!
Very nice reel Sal! It's not only great looking but built like a tank. You gonna fish it??
Looks SWEET! Another great job!!!
Did someone coin the term Salonized. Just messing with you sal, just another great piece of work from you. By the way, Randy does have a lot to hard to find goodies and great guy to work with!!!!
................Lou
Another solid masterpiece, Sal!
Sort of reminds me of something -- can't put my finger on it though?
Best,
Fred

Great Work Sal!
I thought of you yesterday. I saw a Fiat with a Italian Flag stripe painted down the back of it. ;D
I'd nickname it "The Italian Stallion"...great job as always.
awesome!!!
Thats a beauty! Showing a lot of Italian pride, can't wait to see it with the rod Dwight is doing for you!
Wow nice reel ! now that's what I call a tank> Doug
Nice one Sal.
Amazing Jigmaster. Great work. When the new Black Pearl gears come in, I hope to take my already tuned Jigmaster further in that direction.
Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it, but you can't have it ;D

Yes Bob, I will be fishing this one, but it will only feel my hands ;)
You powder coat those rings?
I was looking at the rings going 'whaaaaat?, are they white?'.
Then I got Fred's joke.
Go Sal!
No SS bridge screws?! ;)
Jason, nothing gets by you ;D. They're back ordered. If you didn't seal the box yet, throw a couple in there ;)
Looks awesome!!! Do you by chance know the part numbers for the screws from MC? Also, did you powder-coat those rings? They really look great!

I always order 3different sizes, as in 3/8"- 1/2" and 5/8".

I was going to get the rings powder coated, but didn't have the time. i have a friend that touches up car wheels, I stripped the chrome and made them nice and smooth, he painted and added 5 coats of clear. If they don't hold up its not a big deal, but I'm guessing they will, that stuff is tough.
Sal
Love that stainless handle Sal. Nice to see a custom handle using the old classic shape. Very cool reel!
Basto
Thanks Sal!!
Cool 8) The more I look at it the more I like it
Car paint is pretty tough sh*t when done by a pro, just think what a car goes through
Marc..
Beautiful reel Sal.
Thanks guys. Maybe if I keep the same color combination it might be good luck :-\.
These jigging lures were custom made for me by Saltidog, a very good person.
We haven't seen him around for a while now, I hope he's doing good.

Nope, the Italian flag... Dominick
Now you just need to pair this reel with a custom Italian-theamed rod from Jon (like the one he made a few months back).
Nice colour scheme on a tough reel Sal - at the risk of being picky, are the SS frame spacer bars installed upside down intentionally?
Sal, Che bellezza! You know how I am about colored reels... yours is simply off-the-charts gorgeous. May you catch many fish with it for a very long time! :D
Am I right that the drag star in photo #1 is different than the one on your completed reel? Not that it's important, just curious. (Always! ;) )
Quick question, if I may: Your cupped Delrins come from McM-C... would you happen to have handy the catalogue numbers for those washers? Grazie! :)

That is a good question...good eye ;).
The spacer bars are the prototype, at first they were rubbing a little. These are fine I took some material off from the inside. Alan also decided to make the outer side rounded.

on the left are the prototype the ones on the right look better, but mine are unique ;D
here is a pic of the bar that has been shaved off a little

we don't waste anything here ;D

Thank you Aiala, I'm glad you like it.
The star has fine threads and I didn't have the correct gear sleeve, this one will do for now, but will eventually change it.
Here is the catalog# for the Acetal Belleville:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/3573A17
these will not work, unless you get Black Pearl's custom space, the ID is a little lose. If you get the spacer, try the 10.5mm, or 11.5mm, the 12.5mm is too tall.
Ey Paisano :o Spettacolare!
so the Belleville washers wont work with out the custom spacers
