Hello Experts,

I'm a newbie to this forum so please excuse my innocent ignorance.  The purpose of this post is to request assistance in getting an old Newell 220-M back alive & well.  The reel sat in my desk drawer for a long time and now (fine before?) exhibits the following:

I'm interested in help with a schematic/"How-To" or don't mind sending (paying) the reel to a trustworthy expert for repair.  Any suggestions?

You could have some gummy old grease as well as possible broken dog spring. If you don't get in a big rush I can fix it for you. I just started on a 20 rod order yesterday so I will be busy for a while.
