Looks like a long beach, however I have never seen a Penn reel without a model number.  Any ideas?

If its only one of two I have the other one. I have no idea what it is though.

Absolutely.

Here is the answer you seek: the headplate logo stamping switched to the tailplate in early 50's on the long beach 60 & 65 models. . The headplate you have is slightly rounded on the outside which means it's a later long beach headplate with an early model flat tailplate. Reel should still function normally
