Title: 1972 Tuna Club Prize
Post by: ksandin on April 13, 2015, 05:09:14 AM
Hi all,

I scored on Craigslist today with a huge lot of fishing equipment that doesn't often come up for sale in my area.  One of the rod/reel combo's is a Penn Master Mariner 349 filled with Dacron matched to a really nice Fenwick full roller rod.

The rod is presented to "Bert Paul" for largest fish at the 1972 Albacore Tourney of the Catalina Tuna Club. The seller told me it hadn't been fished the first 30 years by the winner, his friend, and then he'd only fished it a few times since he'd acquired it.

I haven't opened it up yet, but its in near perfect condition.

Here's a few pictures.

Need to open that puppy up and assess the condition of the lube and HT-100's.

How come I never find those deals?  Congratulations Keith.  That is one beauty of a set-up.  Dominick
