Could some one that knows or has the old model Torque spoken of in this old post  please comment. Thanks, Jeff

I don't have a Torque but I do have a Fathom with a similar drag system and I can't get anywhere near 70# of drag out of the reel....like less than 1/2.

I've had them all and there is no way they will get to even 40lbs of drag. That post was from 2008. The 300 International get about 28lbs. and the lever drag just a bit more.

Thanks to both of you for your replies.
I have 3 25Ns & based on the schematics of the Older Torques they do as you say Keta look comparable. So you both have backed up what I already thought I knew.
I find the older Torques intriguing. Overbuilt & heavy....But for a reel that will only be in my hands when cast & then placed immediately in holder soaking baits its a complete non issue.

Thanks again ...Jeff
