We fished all these lakes over 2 backpacking trips leaving from Courtright Res.

11286' elevation...On top of Hell For Sure Pass...Lookin' down on God's creation...Same Aug. 1980 trip. My girlfriends dad, Now my Father in Law for 3000 years was our guide (sort of) He hated fish, but when I fried fish in the frost of 6:00am after 20 miles in the high country he quickly learned the protein source was more than acceptable.

Disappointment Lake was named from a person long ago trying to photograph the glassy waters and it's reflections only to be spoiled countless times by a High Sierra breeze
