I thought I would post a couple of photo's from last season. Hoping to get out next weekend for the first time this season. Photo of the boat is in Halibut Cove near Homer, AK. The boat is a 24' Tolman that my son and I built about 8 years ago. The fishy photo's are of 2 yellow eye that my son and daughter in law caught. Always a running battle for the big fish and the most fish. I stay in the running for the smallest fish. I am not a fishing expert but love Alaska and can talk about it for ever. It may just be my family but as much as I love Beer Battered Halibut in a blind taste test by family last year the Beer Battered Yellow Eye was the favorite for fish tacos. Cooked in the same batter and same fryer by the same cook, me. Ken
Nice boat , nice fish and good kids for going out with you.
Thanks for sharing those photos newb. Dominick
Sweet times my brother.....I have always cherished my trips with my boys...affectionately called "The Stinky Boys".....18, 15, and 14 yo.....and yes, if you have every been with them in Brawley, CA during dove season (Sept 1st).....they do "s**k".... ;D
Great shots Ken! Thanks for sharing with us. ;)
