Title: Hello From MysticParts.com
Post by: MysticParts on December 23, 2010, 08:17:42 PM
Hello Everyone,

My name is Ryan, and I am one of the staff members at Scott's Bait and Tackle, MysticParts.com. My primary responsibilities are to process and/or pack the orders, update the catalog, and I am currently working on revamping the fishing section of our website. I have known Alan as a customer of ours (and us as a customer of his) for several years now, and have been using this forum to help me with troubleshooting problems with our customer's reels. But until now, I haven't been a registered member. I am hoping to become an active member here, atleast in the Penn Reels section (not sure how much I can bring to the table for the other reels).

If you are a customer of ours, don't hesitate to fire some questions to us via the contact form https://scottsbt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (https://scottsbt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new)

Hey Ryan,
Welcome!  You guys are a "reel" asset to the fishing community and
it will be great to have you as a direct link to Scott's/Mysticparts.com.

You must be a brave man to give out your own email address; get ready to be buried in
"what is, how does, where is, can I, if I, will a ___ fit a ___, kind of questions.

Hey, maybe you'll be able to give Alan a break so he won't have to answer all the Penn questions.
Gene

Thanks for the welcome Alan and Gene :)

I would love to be buried in reel question emails ( although I do like using a public venue like this so that other people with the same question can see the answer), my only problem is spam emails. But, I get those anyway :P

No matter what though, I will always bow to Alan's knowledge of reels. He is the "reel" expert here.

Welcome Ryan. Now that you are on this site I wish I had a Penn question.  I wanted to be the first bombardier.  All my Penns are serviced and put away until the next big game fishing trip in the spring.  Glad to have you on board.  Dominick

Hey Ryan,

I got one question with 32 parts to it  ;D  Just Joshin'!  Welcome aboard, and I have to agree you are a brave man.  If you're half as good as MO you'll be as Phin Addict said, "a reel asset" to this wonderful site.

I placed my first order with you guys about a week ago. You have a great website for someone like myself that is new to rebuilding reels. A lot of great information and VERY well organized.....Don

Just a small update to this thread. Site changed over to MysticParts.com June of 2018
Ryan hasn't been with us for a couple of  years now, but is doing well working over at Viking Yachts in Bass River NJ.
