My teamates in Kayak Wars asked me to stop catching kingfish - seems we already limited for the month. Kings are my "bread and butter" species, so the challenge was to catch other fish for points. I accept! Once I hooked to the oil platform it only took about 10 minutes of chumming to hook a nice blacktip. Later as I paddled toward the beach I came across a floating tree and wouldn't you know it, a lovely surprise was hiding under it! Other guys had seen it floating there but didn't look close enough or work hard enough to entice the predator out from the shadows :)

Good Stuff Professor! That was a nice Black tip. I catch them with my feet on the beach. I would really excel if I took some kayak lessons from you.
