I have noticed on a few of the replacement CF drags that the ID is larger than the gear sleeve/post. That wouldn't be an issue, (maybe still not one), except the OD is a bit smaller too.
The disc can move around a bit under load I would imagine.
On my ebay 47h CF's the OD was good but the ID left a space. Am I right in assuming that either the ID or the OD should be snug to assure no movement?
Or does it really not matter? All upgraded drags, in all my reels seem to function fine as they are.
That would seem to answer my question, but I'm interested a bit in the theoretical thinking.
