I just bought a pflueger everlaster it has string line on it and a leather thumb drag cranks both ways
The crank handle is black wood and it's in pretty good shape. How can I date it and is it worth keeping I don't really collect non usable reels but this one is really cool.
I can date it for you but those old "direct drive" reels are cool. The only drag system is you thumb..!!
The line on it is correct for the year. They used whatever they had around to make a day of fishing.
Thanks I will upload a couple pictures tomorrow. I left it as is line and all I think it's cool to maybe I need to start a collection lol
