Dales 750l  slammer rebuild on in the spinning reel tutorials should be close enough.Just be really careful when you remove the gearcase cover so as not to lose the spring and plate like I did. ::)

I have repaired many of these reels because of the rear drag not working. Is this your problem?

Also if it hasn't been opened in a couple of years the grease may be dried up. That's if it is not reeling smooth as it did when new.

I have a couple of pictures but no complete breakdown.

Thank for your replies guys.
Handi2 yes I have experienced that very problem I have recently bought two the 4500 & 6500 LL models & before I even used them the 4500 LL function wouldn't work that was sorted out by the retailer & the local Penn agent so am about to put them to work as soon as we get some decent weather.
I have recently decided to start doing preventative work on my own reels hence to request for a breakdown tutorial.
Cheers again Pete
