Hi, have a quick question I just finished redoing one of my old 30 lb rods a little retrofit. I have a TLD 5 that has been in retirement for a while so now I am thinking about matching it up with this rod for my 30lb set up. Does any body know what the drag strings for this reel is and is it a good match I have only fished 20 lb of it for a short time before putting it away Thanks Ron

The 5s and 10s are great little reels - and quite rare here in NZ.
I've got a 10 (which is effectively just a 'wide' 5) and fish it at 5-7lbs max, with 20lb (9kg) mono.
