Title: Colored sideplates on Penn
Post by: AlasKen on August 27, 2015, 01:08:19 AM
I have a 5 Year old granddaughter who uses a Pen 209 (black plates) for her rock fishing.  This is a stock, nothing special reel.  I upgraded to smoothdrag washers and it can pull more drag than she can hold.  Is there any paint or color coating that could be used to give it some bling and make it special for a little girl.  Just a thought I had after seeing some of the colored vintage Penns on another post.  Thanks. Ken

I have used Valspar "Paint for Plastics" spray paint on other projects with good results....my son has used it on various plastic car parts with good results....comes in many colors...Bill
