Will the manual rotor off of a new 706 work on old 704 reels.
If memory serves, I've read of folks doing this to change to the higher capacity spool of the 706. You'd have to change the rotor and the spool to 706 if you also want more line, but you can use the 704 spool in the 706 rotor.. there would just be a gap.
