Title: Gears & Handle For US113
Post by: Rivverrat on October 10, 2015, 11:27:29 PM
As I get older I have a greater appreciation for doing things the easiest way. I am well above average strength. However being that I'm fishing my US113 at 20 & 25 lbs. of drag I'm looking for the best way to make turning the handle easier. Shorter rods are coming....Anways,  Help ! any suggestions appreciated.....Jeff

Is there a lower gear set available for this reel ?

What is the best length handle ? Realizing I don't want to go to long & stress things. Been looking for a while.

What are some favorite grips for this reel ?

The problem you run into with these is that square shape to the hole and the gear sleeve tip.

There's really only 2 handles that fit made by Penn:

We have three in the Q section but the 113HN handles just have different blade materials.
The 200T blade is about 1/8" shorter than the 113HN blade.

Changing out the 98 sleeve isn't an option as there isn't another compatible sleeve.

Based on our cross reference, any custom handle that fits these:
113HN, TRQ100, TRQ200, TRQ300
will fit your US113's

Is the only place I'm seeing custom handles for the 113HN and Torques, so far.

Not a lot of options out there :(
