Here is a nice King Salmon we caught trolling last month in the Elvin Cove/Inian Island area west of Juneau. It swallowed a herring behind a Hotspot flasher using braid line on a Diawa Mooching Reel. I netted it. These are very green fish and quite lively!

Cool Beans....good looking fish.....salmon are still spotty here in the Sacramento River....mostly jacks right now....just a few 20+ right now....water is still around 68 degrees...
Ya my friends down in Oregon were complaining about the warm water as well. It can effect the fishes health and behavior. It has been over seventy degrees for a long time. You can blame the dams for slowing the Columbia's water and making stagnant pools between the 10 plus dams on the river! But its also been a hot dry summer. You can have it. Thats why I moved north. I prefer it a little less crowded, But their raising a lot of fish and seem to being a fair job of it. Mother nature needs all the help it can get, and shade is not an option. good luck and enjoy your time outdoors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
