Title: Meats
Post by: thorhammer on November 01, 2015, 09:50:41 PM
So the WHO woke up and published a report that says processed meats are as bad as smoking. Salami, pep, and I'm sure my favorite Reuben is similarly charged. I'm screwed.

'At seven pm, the main hatchway gave in, the captain said fellas it's been good to know ya... "

This news has been around for years.  Now that it is official I am going to stop eating meat and go back to smoking.  I miss smoking more then a good steak.  Dominick

What I want to know is how long before it kills me?

Try living every day at its fullest and don't worry about anything else, today there isn't much that won't kill you. Eventually we're all going to die ;)

So what is WHO smoking?? ::)  Years ago I heard cooking hamburgers or a steak on the grill and breathing was the equivalent of smoking 600 cigarettes. yea right.

Anyways...I'm covered...already got the Tee shirt, too.  ;) ;D

Smoke this, WHO!

Sal and Dominick, I had an Italian sub for lunch and veal paparadelle for dinna with a nice Malbec. (plus beer. I am from NC after all). I'm more worried about dying in traffic on Jersey turnpike than my damn sammich... jus saying...

It's what, an 18% increase in the CHANCE that you might develop cancer?
Just don't overdue the processed foods and you should be fine. :)

What would be the point to living a life sans bacon.

Ya..we're talking a major food group. Everything's better wrapped in bacon.  ;D

I hate to tell you but you're going to die anyway so at least die happy.  Bacon isn't nearly as risky as smoking so have a donut with maple frosting and crumbled bacon and party on.

I make all kinds of sausage and cured meat as a hobbie. I here that stuff all the time but it does not stop people from eating it. Maybe I can trade sausage for fishing trips.

They say an olfactory hallucination is the worst kind you can have....but I swear I could smell that Brunswick stew cookin' when I put the iPad up to my nose.

No hope for me now.

Only thing left to do is the Alzheimers peanut butter sniff test.

PS..meant to add I just finished grilling  (930pm MST) some halibut marinated in Pina Colada cocktail mix for making fish tacos for lunch tomorrow.

So it was kind of like I was smoking AND drinking at the same time.....woohooo!

Haven't done either since '93.
