Title: Penn 209 & Penn 210 parts compatibility

Does anyone know if the drive gear and pinion on these reels are compatible?  I have a 209 and was wondering if I could up it's gear ratio to the 210's by putting 210 gears in the 209.  Thanks, George Santee, CA

No. 
The 210 gears work in the 112H, 309M, 500, 500S, & 501.  The 209 gear sets work in the 25, 26, 27, 155L, 160L, and 180.

Thanks for your reply.  I guess I will look for a used 210 since it doesn't appear that a 209's speed can be increased George Santee, CA
