No gators over this side of the world, but do have lots of crocodiles, with many over 16 feet. Makes one nervous when fishing from a 21' bass boat  :o

Never had a steak, although the crock tail is a delicacy, and does taste like chicken !!

We got that one in Anahuac, TX just outside of Houston.

Alligator taste is somewhere between catfish and chicken.  Reminds me of frog legs really.
