What are your thoughts about the Pro Gear 255?  What reels does it compare to?

The ProGear 255 is about the size of a squidder junior (146) with jigmaster guts. It's a great reel. One of my favs.

I love my 255! I have a spare spool and a 251 frame and spool and can switch the right sideplates from the 255 to the 251 in about 10 seconds.

For what it's worth, the Newell 220 was designed as a 146 with Jigmaster gears/drags and 5:1 gears. The Newell 220/229/235 were improved Squidder 146/145/140. The Newell 322/332/338 were designed as improved Jigmaster 501/99/500.
