Russell Ching of Hawaii got more than he bargained for as he pulled up a massive 500-pound Blue Marlin in Hawaii this weekend. As he was getting it onto the boat, the fish made one last attempt at freedom and stabbed Ching through his leg. At least he has an epic fish story for the rest of his days.
Where's the blood? Or did his heart stop when he looked down?

Ouch. He was lucky it wasn't life-threatening while he was 25 miles out, it would have been a very different story.

That gent will be on antibiotics for a long, long time. Tons of bacteria on those bills, and then to actually hit bone poses a whole 'nuther risk of infection.

Gee now that looks nasty - I read this in our local news paper this young bloke was heading out on his kayak when he was struck by what looks like a 4oz torpedo sinker - the bloke was fishing approx. 100 meters away on a wharf .
