Decide I can't hot rod it and have corrosion showing.  ;)

Thanks man. Should look even better if/when I finally put one of the Cortez frames on it. But for now, I also painted the bars/star shiny black as well.

lol, I used Sikkens paint. I paint cars for a living, and I had nothing to do today. It's got 2 coats of clear on it. Did a quick mockup tonight, really liking the outcome. Just need to either paint or replace the spool, black.

Might want to put O-rings or something on the eccentric arm to prevent it from marring the paint job...

Looks good!  Looks like a chromed brass spool?  You could strip the chrome and polish the brass up like the one here:  http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=13274.msg134001#msg134001  The bright gold spool would look nice with the gloss black.

I use a Vacuum cap. You can find them at any auto parts store. Or my Garage. ;D
