Title: Ambassadeur 5000C and Daiwa Millionaire V
Post by: Hillbillyman on January 30, 2016, 04:40:11 AM
I have a green Millionaire V and cannot find parts for it anywhere ... I read an article that said Abu brought Daiwa to court over this reel ... It seems the parts were identical to the point of being interchangeable ... And a Abu representative proved it by taking both reels apart and putting the reels together with mixed parts ... Apparently they functioned perfectly and Daiwa dropped their counter suit and settled ... So ... If this is the case can I find a 5000C main gear and pinion and improve the drag on my Millionaire V ? As it has a very rudimentary drag system with a single washer ... Thanks in advance O Gurus of gears
