Title: shimano chromica woes

anyone know the trick to getting off the mag side cover off ? tried to upload pics but I must have hit a photo quota or something.. thanks for any help.. ED

Assume you talking about the Chromica 200A. I worked on one recently, and am sure that you need to remove the thumb rest that has the "bull bar" on it. Two screws removed.

Then the side plate is turned away from you, towards the reel foot. This will allow the side to be removed, and access to the spool, brake side magnets and bearing.
