Title: Shimano Bantam Beastmaster BBM-VR 2-speed
Post by: fishhead69 on February 24, 2016, 03:09:15 AM
What is your opinions on this reel? I guess it is normal for it to be hard cranking in low compared to high gear where the cranking is easier and smoother. Also the flipping switch does not work at all. Any tutorials available for this model?

Just finished rebuild of Bantam Black Magnum VR-2, which appears to be a close cousin to your BBM-VR-2. This was one tricky reel to put back together, but I figured her out and once you know the correct steps it's not to hard.

Actually it should be much easier to crank when in low gear. Looks like time to open it up.
