Thank you Fred for your reel fixing abilities!! Really!
I gubbered up both a Surfmaster 100 & a Socal CNC Frame Daiwa SLX20SHA reel, had others try to fix them, but so such luck!
It began with my Surfmaster 100, and my attempt to install a steel main gear from Bryan (thanks Buddy Boy!), but after installation, it had a severe grinding sound when turning the handle. Had the Master (Dominick) take a look under the hood, again, grinding noise continued. Enter Fred into the picture.

Fred did his usual Reel Magic, keeping me informed of the progress the entire way.
Here is a screenshot of a post by Fred, and he is projecting to me the Surfmaster progress.

What all Fred did to make this reel hum, well, he can chime in, if he wants to.
One Sunday morning I decided to break into the Socal CNC Frame Daiwa SLX20SHA reel, after using it on 3 Rockfishing trips last year.
But getting to this point, and looking at the parts, well, it gave me a headache! Put is all in a ziplock bag, and also sent it to Fred for repair.
The Mariner 349H was getting checked over for an upcoming Cabo trip.

Here is a posting of my completed reels by Fred, along with two fleece bags for safe keeping, THANK YOU Fred.

Fred's package containing both reels and bags and a very reasonable priced invoice arrived safely to my home address.
Later I was lamenting to Fred via PM's of one of my oldest reels, a Garcia Mitchell 308, that I purchased at age 14 by mowing lawns for $2 each, I have never owned a shallow spool. I only have a full arbor spool, needing 180 yds. of 4 Lbs. test line each time I replaced the line.
So, guess what Fred sends to me!!!! You got it! A NIB Shallow spool for my 308 reel AND he had it filled with new 4 Lbs. Trilene line! What a nice touch. AND a plastic split spool filler. I had one for many years, and decided to throw it out NOT KNOWING it was what I should have been using for all these years!!!

There are a lot of great guys and gals on this site. Fred is right up there. Dominick
Always nice to hear someone experience this level of customer service.
Frankly, I can count on one hand the number of current reel manufacturers I've dealt with who's parts service comes even close.
