Yesterday I got a chance to troll for the wild king salmon of southeast alaska. I usually use mooching reels but wanted to catch a few more fish on my reworked Jigmaster and got the chance. ???

The reel is a double dogged with stainless gearsleeve, and my own Hex gear with carbon fiber washers shown in my earlier jigmaster posts. Soo lets see what happens ok? :-\

Ya it was fun on the little reel, and finally got it in the net. So we are a happy camper! 8)

With a little luck and another day outdoors, I had fun, the jigmaster worked great, we got some dinners, and something for the smoker too. :'(
Really cool pics 8)

Nice pics! You live in a truly beautiful place.
Nice, Gary ---
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful lifestyle --
Those little Jig-Masters are the reel that won the west -- IMO.
So versatile -- and so capable either as stock or upgraded.
Best,
Fred
Great report Gary!
Looks like your're trolling with braid??
What's your leader length & test?
Thanks...
Steve
Nice going but a Salmon doesn't really put a souped up 501 to the test!
Nice Chinook. I really miss catching them and eating those yummy fish. I would like to fill up the smoker with some Coho too.
